In this class, students will work through three practical alteration techniques:

✂️ Garment Hemming
Learn how to properly measure, mark, and create a clean hem on a skirt, pair of pants, or dress. We’ll discuss how to determine the appropriate finished length and how different fabrics and garment styles affect the hemming process.

🔘 Button Creation & Placement
Learn how to create and attach buttons while understanding proper button spacing and placement. Students will practice positioning buttons so they function properly and maintain the intended look of the garment.

🪝 Hook & Eye Placement
Learn how to properly position and hand-sew hook-and-eye closures for secure, functional garment finishing. We’ll cover placement, spacing, and how to reinforce the area for durability.

This workshop is designed to give you practical alteration skills you can immediately use on your own wardrobe and future sewing projects.
